Size (ha): 55
Crops: Mostly natural pastures, corn, seldom oats
We speak: Espanol German, English, a little French
Description: The farm is located at 2 km from the main road. The only access is an earth road - quite adventurous, when it rains. The next village is 5km away. The farm has really a lot of varied activities, like old farms used to have. We grow crops, partly ecological, but we need to rent the machines. We raise some Arab horses(and partbreds) in a natural way, outdoors all year. We want to extend that and would appreciate horsemanship. There are a few cows and we have our own milk for consumption. We are expanding that sector currently. The fences need regular control and repair. There are free running chicken (so get out and search for your breakfast egg! ;-)We also want to create an ecofriendly kitchen garden. I love ecofriendly agriculture above all, and we are on a good way. We have done a lot about it, but there is still more to do. We generate drinking water for humans and animals. Currently we use an electrical water-pump, because the windmill has been destroyed by the last storm. We have wifi access and there is a mobile phone signal. Our place is a little paradise! We would love to receive somebody able to handle the horses. Riding is partly possible for experienced people. If you prefer gardening or other rural or construction activities, there is work of all kind and diversity! There are 2 old bikes or just join somebody who is going by car to the village. To Buenos Aires-city by bus or train:2h. Within reach, there are wild lakes and lagoons for recreation.
Accommodation: We can receive 1-2 volunteers. There is a simple guest-house with 2 united rooms (1 double+1 single bed), bathroom with toilet + warmwater shower. We also provide sheets and towels and kitchen utilities. There is a kitchen-room, but unfinished, you are invited to help on that! No running water, yet, in the kitchen. Minimus stay is 3 months, there are no exceptions.
Food: There is a gas-stove and a fridge in the guest-house. You cook your own meals in the unfinished kitchen. We provide mostly but not exclusively vegetarian food. Sometimes we eat all together.
We are: I emigrated to Argentina in 1971 and live most part of the year at the farm, which I own for 44 years now. The only permanent worker is a family father of 5 children (all ages, oldest 15)living at the farm. His wife does no farm-work. He takes care of cows and pigs and does all kind of farm-work including the horses, but is no horseman.
When to come: Volunteers are welcome from September till June. Not in July and August. The stay should be at least for 3 months.
Additional comments: Activities are 6h per day, Saturday and Sunday off (maybe change some weekend shifts exceptionally, in case one of us is away).

Description: a group of nature lovers, biologists, farmers and artists from different countries decided to form a biodynamic community, with various projects including organic farming, permaculture, Earth Ship building ("Earthships" Biotecture) and other activities aiming to become a self-sustaining ecological community. Choosing the beautiful province of Mendoza, we have established ourselves strategically in an area free of pesticides, agrochemicals and production of GMOs, where the water is pure and the virgin soil is extremely fertile. Located near the town of General Alvear and about 100 km from San Rafael, we have a beautiful field of 155 hectares, which is crossed transversely by a river covering a stretch of 1.5 Km. River contains fish of various sizes, including carps of up to 3-4 kg. The property has seasonal lakes where you can often see ducks and other lagoon birds. Among the native fauna are also wild boars, armadillos, viscacha, hares, foxes, partridges, lizards, and others. The farm currently has two large houses that can accommodate more than 15 people. Facilities include multiple bathrooms with shower, electricity, Wi-Fi, TV, kitchen, grill, clay oven, heating and air conditioning. We enjoy asados, evening campfires, play music, paint artistic murals, and we are building a library of literature from around the world. We invite visitors interested in learning about our project and we are open to new members to reside in our community. Among our plans is to offer plots of land for new members who wish to build their green home to reside there.

Description: The Farm is located about 6 kilometers outside the town of El Bolson, between the mountains of the Patagonian Andes. We cultivate the land primarily by hand, using various sources of inspiration from agroecological farming: biodynamic, natural farming and permaculture, starting from a vision of agriculture as an inner journey toward healing the Earth. Today the farm has a responsibility for social renewal, not only as an economic and productive nexus, but also as a cultural, educational and therapeutic space to the extent that it is an entity that manifests and connects us with the active forces and processes of nature, cosmic and earthly. We seek to unite ancient wisdom to the needs and contributions of the modern context. The farm has 6 hectares of land, of which about 3500 m2 is used for annual crop, and in rotation with pigs to plow and fertilize the soil. In addition, we keep animals traction to cultivate 1 ha of field crops on the premises from neighbors. The land has a orcharch area, with fruit trees in less than one hectare where laying hens have incorporated for grazing under these trees. We also breed pigs who participate in a rotation with crops from the garden. The horse farm participates in cultural tillage field crops. We produce some of our seed, and belong to a group of caregivers of regional seed that is dedicated to the preservation and multiplication of seeds. We integrate our biodynamic preparations and compost crops. Along with a small biodynamic community, elaborate preparations. The farm is a pioneer in Argentina of a model supported agriculture community, the "associative agriculture" (in United States known as "Community Supported Agriculture" or CSA), which is a model that we believe can save small farms increasing intrusion current agribusiness model. We believe it is not enough to transform our methods of cultivation to organic media, but also transform the socio-economic model that supports them. For us, this means freeing agriculture from the harmful effects of the market, claiming a more local economy and community. The farm is held by a group of local people who support both financially and ethically the way we farm. The harvest is divided into boxes and delivered weekly to share with families or "members" of the association, together with a range of other products we make, like sauerkraut, chutney, sweets, or other preserves.

Description: A farm with crops mainly fruits (apple, peach, pear, cherry, plum, etc.) and vegetables for their own consumption and processing (juice, sauce, vinegar, etc.). We also make natural building. Our philosophy is to seek self-sustainability, healthy living (incorporating medicines and natural food), prioritizing manual activity, and trying to live in harmony with nature. For this reason we need to share with people who are willing ad really committed to working and learning by interacting with members of the farm. We think the experience is positive but the cycles of nature are long, so we propose a time not less than three months. To share a long life of our proposal. September to November (spring): at this time the main activity is natural construction and horticulture. December to April (summer and part of fall): do fruit and vegetable crops and elaborations. It is the busiest time on the farm. May to August (autumn and winter part): there is little activity.
Accomodation: We offer a house for volunteers. Shared room (and we are building a private room), kitchen, bathroom and shower. There is always plenty of room for tents. In the little house 4 shared and a private room for a couple.
Food: We offer basic food for all meals. The kitchen is open and organized among volunteers. Food is an important part of self-sustainability so do not throw anything. It is basically vegan and if you need to consume milk or eggs, you will need to purchase.
We are: Argentinian family. We live in a farm house with different projects, but it's all part of the same goal.
When to come: all year
Additional comments: Hours depend on the activity of each time; we are trying 8 hours per day. We seek to organize time for rest and recreation.
